OUR MISSION

The Tamu Orphans Support Fund (TOSF) provides a comprehensive early life support system for HIV/AIDS orphaned children living in Tamu, Kenya.

We vet and support safe and nurturing environments for our sponsored children, provide education and/or vocational training, health coverage, and ensure sufficient nutritional needs are met.

​Our mission is grounded in the belief that a safe environment  nurtures good living practices, and the inherent value of education and  importance of community are essential to a child’s growth and development.

This results in long-term sustainable success in the social and economic development of the individual and by extension, their families and the community.

OUR VISION

We strive to develop a successful model of kin based community housing for these orphans and siblings rather than placing them in an institutional setting. This supports our belief that a safe family-based environment  nurtures good living practices, and better supports the inherent value of education and  importance of community as essential to good citizenship as adults.  As a model, TOSF endeavors to provide resources not only to Tamu children but to AIDS orphaned children of surrounding communities.   Our vision is to have other organizations as well as TOSF establish similar programs beyond Muhoroni and potentially to other world areas.
